Donation: Making Donations

Many times, SLMs arrive at their site and begin to talk with friends and family and tell them about their mission site. Sometimes during the course of their conversations, the question, “How can I donate to your site?” arises. In order to receive a tax-deductible donation, they can do as follows:

  1. Write a check payable to “Salesian Lay Missioners”.

  2. Put the site or project of where they want the donation to go in the “memo” field. This is important, as it allows us to know where they would like the money to go.

  3. Send the check to:

    Salesian Lay Missioners
    Attn: Adam Rudin
    2 Lefevre Lane
    PO Box 30
    New Rochelle, NY 10802-0030

Upon receiving the donation, the SLM office will issue a letter of acknowledgement that the donor can use for tax purposes. The money will then be deposited into the SLM office account and the money will be wired to the appropriate Salesian contact at the mission site. Once the money has been wired, the SLM office will send out a notice to both the SLM as well as the Salesians on-site.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please do not hesitate to contact us.
