This orphanage, located on the outskirts of the valley city of Cochabamba, offers a home to more than 50 girls ranging from 6 to 17 years old. Most of the girls come from broken families and are in desperate need of a loving home. The SLMs provide a positive presence among the girls and act as role models for the girls. SLM tasks include tutoring, organizing special events, mentoring, faith formation and sports ministry. Be prepared to have an amazing time at Hogar María Auxiliadora! |

Loma Alta is a poor rural town located 3hrs. from the city of Santa Cruz in Bolivia, South America. The site is run by a Salesian sister and has hosted many SLMs in the past. Loma Alta offers SLM's the opportunity to teach in the primary and/or junior/senior high schools. Much like other Salesian sites, there exists many more opportunities to work with the kids outside the classroom: helping out in after school programs, coaching sports teams, organizing sporting events, and teaching catechism. Be prepared for active days and complete immersion into the Santa Cruz culture! |

The orphanage Hogar Sagrado Corazón has been an SLM site since the program’s beginning in the mid-1980’s. Countless number of SLMs have had unforgettable experiences working with the 100+ abandoned girls. Located in the bustling city of Montero, HSC gives each SLM the opportunity to change the lives of the girls through tutoring, music, sports, and just being there for them. Be prepared to be challenged and completely changed upon finishing your time!

The Salesian-run school Colegio San Francisco Xavier has been an SLM site since the early 1990’s. Okinawa, a small rural town of 4,000, offers the SLMs the unique opportunity to be involved in school, town, and community activities. Living is simple here and the town welcomes each volunteer as a true “Okinaweño”, or one of its own. Be prepared to live simply, love a lot, and have an unforgettable experience!

The Vicariate has a Foundation in Holland which provides funding for Projects for youth and children in Health and Education and Formation in Human and Supernatural Values. We need a person to accompany this Foundation, making projects, reporting on projects, writing thank you letters, writing interesting reports, doing basic book keeping. Keep Amsterdam aware of current happenings with sick, poor, handicapped, youth, acknowledge gifts referred by Amsterdam, and convey to donors what they share in all we are able to do.
