Project Location Ministries Description
Yolia - Niñas de la Calle Mexico City Educator and Caretaker Yolía serves as a way to intervene in the lives of children, specifically girls and young mothers who live in or are in severe danger of living on the streets. Street counselors work to advertise and draw children into the day center - the next step is to ask them if they would like to live at Yolía, where they receive all the basics for living. SLMs help to care for the 15 girls that live at Yolía, living and working with them and acting as a mother figure, teacher, counselor, cook, activities coordinator, among other things! A truly remarkable project, days can be very challenging but extremely rewarding.
