Located 40 kms. south of Johannesburg, the LoveMatters program aims at providing space and time for Christian/Catholic groups of youth to deepen their awareness of self as children of a loving God, to build an active community among the participants, and to counter popular disinformation about sexuality and youth culture in a fun and caring atmosphere. As part of the youth ministry team, SLMs also: work among the local rural youth in the weekend oratories (youth centers), work in the local primary/junior school (depending on qualifications), help in the fundraising, statistics, report writing, general administration, program development, and work with the youth in counseling, research and program development.
