Background

Vunabosco, run by the Salesian priests/brothers, is located in the Kokopo District and has a student population of around 600 with a teaching staff of 35. The school has requested SLMs to assist with teaching English, math, music, carpentry, motor vehicle repair, and technical drawing. The school also houses boarders and the Salesians requested assistance in working with them as well.

SLM Duties

• Major Duties
  • Teaching various subjects – whatever is in-need
  • Working with boarding students in personal development (i.e. manners, hygiene, public speaking, etc.)
  • Supervising the library
  • Administrative

  • Helping the Pastoral Council
  • Organizing retreats
  • Organizing service projects
  • Help animate the boarding students
  • Music ministry
  • Sports ministry
