Inter-Salesian Service Collaborative Meeting

Rome, Italy – I returned yesterday from a 2 day meeting held at the Salesian Generalate house, know as “La Pisana”.  While there I met with 6 other Salesian volunteer sending organizations (Ireland, Czechoslovakia, Austria, UK, Australia, Poland) to discuss various issues and ways to better collaborate.  It was, in short, a great meeting.  Hosted by the General Councilor for the Missions, Fr. Vaclav Klement SDB, we all felt the overall support of the Salesians in what it is we all do with the different volunteer programs.

[cincopa AwBAKh6-kzZs]One of the highlights was a visit by the Rector Major, Fr. Pascual Chavez, on the last day of the meeting.  He gave his support to us and we had a 15 minute dialog with him, which given his crazy schedule, is a real treat!
